WorldSoccerBars.com was launched in the summer of 2009 and is the brainchild of Thomas Baiter, a soccer fan from New York City. After spending many recent years travelling abroad, Thomas realized that he made a point of finding somewhere to watch his beloved Manchester United play. He used soccer message boards and travel sites but always had a hard time finding what he was looking for all in one place. As a web design hobbyist he knew there had to be a better way.
In 2008 he launched NewYorkSoccerBars.com and without a penny spent on advertising saw it quickly rise to the top of Google searches for where to watch soccer in New York. On the back of that success he began building sites for other major cities in the United States. Soon it became too much to handle.
Because the goal was always to have the best information in one place WorldSoccerBars.com brings together all of the original soccer bar sites into one place and allows for the quick introduction of new sites for new cities and demand warrants.
