In many ways, Chicago can be considered the quintessentially American city: it’s big, it’s located in the center of the Midwest in America’s heartland, and the friendly, “local” atmosphere feels like smaller cities across the U.S. The problem, of course, is that when you talk about an American city, you’re also talking about American sports: football, basketball, baseball, and hockey – and Chicago has these sports by the bucket-full.

But that’s not all there is to the tale of the Windy City. In fact, you’d be surprised at just how easy it can be to find English Premier League games, La Liga games, Serie A and even Bundesliga games broadcast in the pubs and sports bars of Chicago – especially during the off-season of the “bigger” Chicago sports.
